Bio
Helena Richardsson is a Swedish artist and songwriter whose lyrics explore the mysteries of life and what lies beyond.
Her songwriting journey began unexpectedly in 2022 when a close friend was diagnosed with ALS. As he rapidly lost the ability to speak, Helena recorded a song especially for him. His heartfelt “thumbs up” after listening marked the beginning of something deeply meaningful. Not long after, an ex-partner passed away suddenly, and around the same time, Helena celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary. These intense life events sparked a powerful wave of creativity, leading to a flow of songs that helped her process and transform these experiences.
Through collaborations with musicians and producers, her raw a cappella ideas have evolved into fully produced tracks spanning genres from indie pop to metal. While she began with softer, more melodic songs, Helena’s current musical direction leans toward melodic prog rock and metal.
Notable releases include "Too Much Attention", in collaboration with Jocke Grundström (Sundsvall), "The Story" co-created with Henrik Wesström (Gävle), and "Machinery Tools", co-written with Liam Espinosa (Gothenburg), known for his work with Ends With A Bullet. Liam also features as the vocalist in "Worlds Apart", Helena’s 20th release to date.
In addition to her music career, Helena is the proud owner of a riding school, where she shares her passion for horses and the equestrian lifestyle.
